Prayer to the Martyr Aquilina

O Holy Spirit, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, the incomprehensible one, you adorned your bride Aquilina of Byblos with all Christian virtues when she was in her infancy. You embraced her heart with the shield of courage, chastity, and detachment from this world. You armed her with the weapons of faith, hope, and perfect love, and set her gaze upon the heavenly glory, so that it became her desire and sustenance day and night. We ask you, through the intercession of this radiant martyr and virtuous teacher, to pour into our hearts the effective graces of our salvation and teach us in this holy school to love the pains and the crucifixion of self, O you who live and reign with the Father and the Son forever. Amen.
