Pilgrimages and Processions
Throughout the year, spiritual processions and strengthening pilgrimages are organized in various parts of the parish according to the calendar of feasts and occasions, including:
Praying the Rosary and the Virgin Mary’s intercession throughout the month of May in the neighborhoods of the parish and their homes.
A procession from the Gate of the Church of Our Lady to the Church of St. John Mark on the feast day, followed by sprinkling the church with rosewater according to tradition.
A procession from the Church of Martyr Aquilina to the Church of Our Lady Maritime at the end of the Marian month every year.
A procession from the Church of Our Lady Maritime to the Church of Martyr Aquilina on her feast day, followed by the celebration of the Divine Liturgy in the outdoor courtyard.
Stages of the Stations of the Cross procession from the Church of the Poor Mother to the Gate of Our Lady to the Church of St. John Mark to the port, held on Good Friday, and it concludes with the bearers of the Sufferings.
