Marriage
“The covenant of marriage, established by God between a man and a woman, encompasses their entire life and, by its nature, aims at the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of children. Christ the Lord has raised this covenant between the baptized to the dignity of a sacrament.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church – 1601)
Required Documents:
- Recent baptism certificate and attestation of freedom to marry from the parish or place of residence if the period exceeds six months.
- Certificate of participation in the marriage preparation course.
- Medical examination signed by the laboratory and the parties involved.
- Interview conducted by the parish priest.
- Recently issued individual status certificate.
- Request signed by the parish priest (permission to marry).
After preparing all the necessary documents, they are submitted to the Secretariat at the diocese for verification, and then sent to the parish secretariat for further processing.
