The Maronite Apostolic Movement

It is a miniature image of the Church, gathering its members around a word that Christ Himself has always emphasized: love. It was founded on February 26, 1966, under the name “Mary’s Army” under the supervision of Sister Belegi Masaad. Later, on December 3, 1977, the “Gate Lady Group” was established by graduates of the Rosary Sisters’ secondary school under the supervision of Father Louis Khalifeh, who established a local council on April 11, 1981, under the name “Gate Lady,” encompassing all apostolic groups in Byblos. In 1983, the “Annunciation Lady Group for Youth” was founded under the presidency of Gladys Abi Ghosn, and the “Holy Family Group for Youth” was founded in Mar Yousef Secondary School in Byblos under the presidency of Alexander Gebran.

Today, the Gate Lady Group gathers around the word of the Lord, working to revive participation through the Word and the Gospel, and attempting to explain spiritual, cultural, and religious topics. Their program includes visiting patients in the parish, engaging in spiritual and charitable works, and giving testimonies of life.
